SEASONS

HOLA!!!!!

I am back, once again! And an update is well overdue!

I was recently thinking about summer being over and fall/winter approaching. And a part of me was a little bit sad because I love summer: heat, flip-flops, long days, less rain, and did I say HEAT!!!! But, whether I want fall to come or not, it will come. I cannot control the seasons, they will come as surely as the sun will rise and set every day no matter what happens during that day.

Often in our spiritual life we are not excited about the season that God is bringing us into, it seems hard, or we don't fully understand it. But, God has a plan and he knows that we need fall and winter. And whether we want the colder seasons to come or not, they will come. And there is always the promise of spring around the corner and another summer. I do not believe that we would appreciate summer as much if it was always summer, but after a long, cold winter, we are pumped when summer arrives. The same is true in life, we appreciate the good times that much more after enduring through the challenging trials of life. And sometimes God just tells us to "hold on" because "this too shall pass" but in the meantime it will shape our character. Often when we pray we want God to come into alignment with our plans, but when we pray we should be surrendering our heart to his will and his plans!

I hope and pray that you are all doing well and getting excited about the fall and Thanksgiving and Christmas. I know I am! I am busy now, but there will be time to rest!!!!! Maybe I should let you know where I am working now. I am teaching Aqua Fit at 4 different gyms in Abbotsford, personal training, working in the weight room at Apollo, and launching a bootcamp at Apollo as well.
